WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THE CHRISTIAN TO LIVE BY FAITH AS SCRIPTURE SAYS :
Rom1:17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed–a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
AS A CHRISTIAN YOU WILL BE TRAINED TO STAND FIRM IN YOUR FAITH BY STUDYING THE WORD OF GOD AND YOU WILL BE GUIDED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO LIVE TO DO GOD’S WILL TO BE ABLE TO BE RIGHTEOUS AND VICTORIOUS TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD
2Ti3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
Heb_12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Col 1:9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,
Col 1:10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
Col 1:11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,
Col 1:12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS , YOU MUST DO WHAT HE SAYS , YOUR FAITH IN HIM MUST BE VISIBLE IN YOUR LIFE IN THIS WORLD.
Hab 2:4 “See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright– but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness–
Jas 2:14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?
Jas 2:15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.
Jas 2:16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
Jas 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Jas 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
Jas 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that–and shudder.
Jas 2:20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
Jas 2:21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
Jas 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.
Jas2:24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
Jas 2:25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?
Jas 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
1Pe3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
1Jn3:7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
LEARN FROM those ( NOAH , ENOCH, ABRAHAM, MOSES etc ) who did it right and were RIGHTEOUS IN THE EYES OF GOD AND JESUS :
Heb11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Heb11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Heb11:4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
Heb11:5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
Heb11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Heb11:7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
Heb11:8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.
Heb11:9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.
Heb11:11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
Heb11:13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
Heb11:17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son,
Heb11:20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.
Heb11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
Heb11:22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.
Heb11:23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.
Heb11:24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
Heb11:27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.
Heb11:28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.
Heb11:29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.
Heb11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.
Heb11:31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.
Heb11:33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions,
Heb12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Heb_13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Mat 13:49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous
Mat 13:50 and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 25:46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Jas 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
Jas 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Heb10:38 And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”
Heb10:39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.
