MINISTRY OF THE SPIRIT ( teaching six)

ETERNAL LIFE BEGINS WITH JESUS OUR SAVIOUR WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO BECOME RIGHTEOUS AGAIN AND TO STAY RIGHTEOUS.

RIGHTEOUSNESS LEADS TO HOLINESS THAT LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE

RIGHTEOUSNESS TEACHINGS OF JESUS

1Ti_2:5  For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, Heb_9:15  For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance–now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

Heb_12:24  to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

GOD PROMISED THE NEW COVENANT -IT MEANS THE NEW LAW OF THE SPIRIT

(((Jer 31:31  “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.

Jer 31:32  It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.

Jer 31:33  “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Jer 31:34  No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Jer 31:35  This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar– the LORD Almighty is his name)))

Heb_9:15  For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance–now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

((((2Pe_1:9  But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.)))

2Co_3:8  will not the MINISTRY OF THE SPIRIT be even more glorious?

2Co_3:9  If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more GLORIOUS IS THE MINISTRY THAT BRINGS RIGHTEOUSNESS!

In Matthew Jesus teaches us what important are to be Righteous in His eyes.

RIGHTEOUSNESS TEACHINGS OF JESUS

Mat 5:1  Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,

Mat 5:2  and he began to teach them. He said:

Mat 5:3  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:4  Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Mat 5:5  Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Mat 5:6  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Mat 5:7  Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Mat 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Mat 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Mat 5:10  Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:11  “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Mat 5:12  Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Mat 5:13  “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Mat 5:14  “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Mat 5:15  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

Mat 5:16  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Mat 5:17  “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Mat 5:18  For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Mat 5:19  Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:20  For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:21  “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’

Mat 5:22  But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Mat 5:23  “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you,

Mat 5:24  leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Mat 5:25  “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.

Mat 5:26  Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

Mat 5:27  “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’

Mat 5:28  But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Mat 5:29  If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Mat 5:30  And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

Mat 5:31  “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’

Mat 5:32  But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Mat 5:33  “Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’

Mat 5:34  But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;

Mat 5:35  or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.

Mat 5:36  And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black.

Mat 5:37  All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

Mat 5:38  “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’

Mat 5:39  But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.

Mat 5:40  And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

Mat 5:41  If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.

Mat 5:42  Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

Mat 5:43  “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

Mat 5:44  But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Mat 5:45  that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Mat 5:46  If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?

Mat 5:47  And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?

Mat 5:48  Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

RIGHTEOUSNESS TEACHINGS OF JESUS ABOUT YOUR DEEDS.

The deeds He will be looking at on the day of judgement.

Mat 25:1  “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Mat 25:2  Five of them were foolish and five were wise.

Mat 25:3  The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.

Mat 25:4  The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

Mat 25:5  The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

Mat 25:6  “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

Mat 25:7  “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

Mat 25:8  The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

Mat 25:9  “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

Mat 25:10  “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

Mat 25:11  “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

Mat 25:12  “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

Mat 25:13  “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Mat 25:14  “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.

Mat 25:15  To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

Mat 25:16  The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more.

Mat 25:17  So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more.

Mat 25:18  But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

Mat 25:19  “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.

Mat 25:20  The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

Mat 25:21  “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Mat 25:22  “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’

Mat 25:23  “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Mat 25:24  “Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

Mat 25:25  So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’

Mat 25:26  “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?

Mat 25:27  Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

Mat 25:28  “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.

Mat 25:29  For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

Mat 25:30  And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Mat 25:31  “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.

Mat 25:32  All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Mat 25:33  He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Mat 25:34  “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

Mat 25:35  For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

Mat 25:36  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Mat 25:37  “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

Mat 25:38  When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?

Mat 25:39  When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

Mat 25:40  “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Mat 25:41  “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Mat 25:42  For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,

Mat 25:43  I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

Mat 25:44  “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

Mat 25:45  “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Mat 25:46  “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
