I in them and You in Me

I and the Father are “one” means that they are one in essence or nature ; They  are or form a perfect unity of love , righteousness and holiness and power to control all things . As Jesus explains it in  JOHN 10:28-30 … if no one can snatch them out of His Father’s hands then no one can snatch them out of His (Jesus’s) hands , because THEY are “one” or the same in power to do what needs to be done . To be ‘one” here does not mean that they are one God. Jesus said that The Father is greater than Him: Joh_14:28  “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Joh 10:25  Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me,

Joh 10:26  but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.

Joh 10:27  My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Joh 10:28  I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Joh 10:29  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

Joh 10:30  I and the Father are one.”

THE PRAYER JESUS PRAYED EXPLAINS THAT WE ALSO HAVE TO BECOME ONE WITH THEM IN PERFECT UNITY OF LOVE

Joh_17:11  I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.

Joh 17:20  “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

Joh 17:21  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Joh_17:22  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—

Joh 17:23  I in them and you in me–so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD YOU MUST BE RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY AND PURE . JESUS CAME INTO THIS WORLD TO SHOW US WHAT WE MUST DO AND HOW TO LIVE TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD .AFTER JESUS WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD  BY GOD , HE SENT THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BE IN US TO GUIDE US AND TO SHOW US THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS

Mat_10:24 “The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master.
Luk_6:40 The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.

1Jn2:6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

1Jn4:17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

Heb_12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Heb_12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Rom_6:16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey–whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

Rom_6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

YOU MUST OBEY GOD TO BE ABLE TO BE ‘IN’ GOD AND JESUS  AND GOD AND JESUS “IN” YOU AND TO BE “ONE” WITH GOD AND JESUS. YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU ONE PERSON BUT THAT YOU BECOME PART OF THIS UNITY OF LOVE AND HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

1Jn 2:5  But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him:

1Jn 2:6  Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

1 Eph_3:17  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,  2Jn_1:6  And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Rom_1:5  Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake. Rom_5:19  For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

Rom_6:16  Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey–whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? Rom_16:26  but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith–

1Jn_4:8  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1Jn_4:9  This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

1Jn_4:10  This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1Jn_4:12  No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

1Jn_4:16  And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

JESUS SAID THAT WE MUST REMAIN IN HIM  AND TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT WE MUST OBEY HIS COMMANDS:

Joh 15:1  “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

Joh 15:2  He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

Joh 15:3  You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

Joh 15:4  Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Joh_15:5  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Joh 15:6  If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

Joh 15:7  If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Joh 15:8  This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Joh 15:9  “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

Joh 15:10  If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

Joh 15:11  I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Joh 15:12  My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Joh 15:13  Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Joh 15:14  You are my friends if you do what I command.

Joh 15:15  I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Joh 15:16  You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

Joh 15:17  This is my command: Love each other.

Joh 17:23  I in them and you in me–so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Joh 14:20  On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

TO BECOME A SON/DAUGHTER OF GOD AND OF JESUS , TO BECOME ‘ONE’ WITH THEM YOU MUST BE MATURE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS.

IT REQUIERS UNITY IN THE FAITH AND IN THE SPIRIT AND IN LOVE

Eph 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
Eph 1:5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will–
Eph 1:6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
Eph 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
Eph 1:8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,
Eph 1:9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,
Eph 1:10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment–to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

Joh_17:23 I in them and you in me–so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Eph 4:3  Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Eph 4:6  one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Eph 4:13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Eph 4:14  Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

Eph 4:15  Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

IF YOU ARE STILL LIVING A SINFUL LIFE AS A CHRISTIAN , IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO BE “ONE” WITH GOD OR “ONE” WITH JESUS

Eph 4:17  So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.

Eph 4:18  They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

Eph 4:19  Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

Eph 4:20  That, however, is not the way of life you learned

Eph 4:21  when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.

Eph 4:22  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

Eph 4:23  to be made new in the attitude of your minds;

Eph 4:24  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Eph 4:25  Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Eph 4:26  “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,

Eph 4:27  and do not give the devil a foothold.

Eph 4:28  Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

Eph 4:29  Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Eph 4:30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Eph 4:31  Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

Eph 4:32  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

DO NOT DELIBERATELY KEEP ON SINNING. IF YOU DO YOU WILL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Eph 5:3  But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

Eph 5:4  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

Eph 5:5  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person–such a person is an idolater–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Eph 5:6  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.

Eph 5:7  Therefore do not be partners with them.

Eph 5:8  For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light

1Jn_3:6  No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

Joh_14:17  the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Rom_8:11  And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Eph 2:18  For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Eph 2:19  Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,

Eph 2:20  built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

Eph 2:21  In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.

Eph 2:22  And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Col_2:6  So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,

Heb 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
Heb 10:27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Heb 10:28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Heb 10:29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”
Heb 10:31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

NO ONE WHO LIVES IN HIM KEEPS ON SINNING .

1Ti 6:11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1Ti 6:13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you
1Ti 6:14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Ti 6:15 which God will bring about in his own time–God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

1Ti_6:16  who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

1Jn_2:14  I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

1Jn_3:6  No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

1Jn_3:24  The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Gal_2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Joh_11:26  and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Joh_6:56  Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.

Joh_10:38  But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

Joh_14:10  Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Joh_14:11  Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

Joh_14:12  Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Joh_14:20  On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

DO THE WILL OF GOD AND OBEY HIS WORD.

THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL HELP YOU TO LIVE A RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY LIFE

WITHOUT HOLINESS NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD

Heb 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,
Heb 12:23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,

Heb 12:25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?

Heb 10:5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
Heb 10:6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.
Heb 10:7 Then I said, ‘Here I am–it is written about me in the scroll– I have come to do your will, my God.'”
Heb 10:8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”–though they were offered in accordance with the law.
Heb 10:9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second.

Heb 10:15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
Heb 10:16 “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”
Heb 10:17 Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

Heb 10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Heb 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Heb 10:24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
Heb 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
